CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY ( CSR )

Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) are some of the most basic needs for human health and survival. More than a third of the world’s population does not have access to hygienic means of basic sanitation, and 1 out of 10 people do not have access to a safe source of drinking water. Total Sanitation in rural areas has been a focus area for successive governments at the center in India. allows businesses large and small to enact positive change.

since Independence.

In this era of ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’, issues like open defecation and human waste are getting attention from not only the Government but also a large section of our society and corporates. With a proven track record of executing various projects in rural and urban India we are a force to reckon with and a reliable organization to work with and depend upon. We undertake various sanitation projects for corporates under their CSR mandate and provide sanitation solutions to different strata of the society.

  • Reducing carbon footprints
  • Improving labor policies
  • Participating in Fairtrade
  • Charitable giving
  • Volunteering in the community
  • Corporate policies that benefit the environment
  • Socially and environmentally conscious investments

HOUSEHOLD TOILETS

Providing household toilets for rural India is one of the projects which we have executed for NGO’s and different corporates. We also educate the beneficiaries for usage of toilets and healthy sanitation practices.

PUBLIC TOILETS

We specialize in providing solutions and multiple options for public toilets. We have developed an innovative public restroom concept known as ‘it’ (toilet integration).

‘it’ is made by refurbishing of old scrap buses into luxurious restrooms for women. ‘ti’ has Indian and western toilets, shower cubicle, baby diaper changing station, sanitary pad vending machine & hand wash units.

COMMUNITY TOILETS

We also work in cleaning community toilets. Community toilets are best the alternative where individual household toilets cannot be provided. We not only provide innovative solutions for community toilets but clean and maintain existing community toilets using hi-quality automated cleaning equipment.

SCHOOL SANITATION

Providing a cleaning facility for existing toilets at schools to maintain health and hygiene in the schools is one of the projects we have taken up with government agencies, NGO’s and corporates. Awareness camps for children are conducted under our ‘CREATING EDUCATION, AWARENESS AND OWNERSHIP’ program. In absence of existing restroom units in schools, we have various options to suit the requirement.

As a part of CSR [Corporate Social Responsibility] Project, Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd. is focused on creating a positive social and environment impact by leveraging its resources and expertise in CSR thrust project like : BioToilet to Rural Area School, Soil Testing Initiative, Organic Farming/Vermi Compost Fertilizer Project, Gramin Suvidha Kendra Programme, Development of Watershed Programme, Drip Irrigation Programme, Deepening/Renovation of Dug Well, and many other activities.

To Promote the preventive health care and improving sanitation at school and to create awareness on health and sanitation among students in rural areas.Biotoilet installation in school created awareness in rural areas about sewage water treatment and utilization for irrigation purpose. Biotoilet treated water utilization for irrigation promote the organic farming and nutrient water stability in agriculture land.

Working extensively on each initiative through a 360 degree approach towards sanitation, we were able to improve attendance, health and the overall cognitive development of children. Higher participation and attendance can indirectly result in a better future for them. It is another step towards making an impact in their lives that may one day inspire them in turn to make a difference. These programs reflect our commitment towards society and sustainable growth as a core principle of doing business.
