Iqbal Kaskar, Dawood’s Brother Taken Into Custody by ED for 7 Days:
Mumbai, February 18, 2022: Iqbal Kaskar, brother of underworld gangster and kingpin Dawood Ibrahim taken into custody by Enforcement Department on Friday 18, 2022 for 07 days from Thane Jail, accused in a recent money laundering case.
The ED on Friday morning picked up the Brother Kaskar who has been booked in a recently registered money laundering case, who has been already serving jail custody in Thane Jail for quite some times now. The case has been registered against Dawood and his associates. A special Money Laundering and Prevention Act (MLPA) Court in Mumbai issued an order for
the ED to take Iqbal into their custody, linking a dot of the currently registered case with him.
Advocate Sultan Khan, Iqbal’s Lawyer to this arrest expressed his dismay while placing his arguments to the Court ‘As because he is Dawood Ibrahim’s brother he is being harassed’.
‘He has no relation with Dawood Ibrahim after he left India. Iqbal has nothing to do with the matter ED is investigating on. Moreover he has been in Jail for several months now’ also said Sultan Khan.
On February 15, 2022 a raid operation took place at the residence of Haseena Parkar, Dawood’s younger sister and another influential lady person in the Mafia-Abyss for her link with money laundering case registered against Dawood. A total number of 10 places, 09 in Mumbai and 01 in Thane have been raided by the Enforcement Department are basically connected to with people who has direct or indirect associations with the underworld.
If sources are to be believed, ED carrying out raid operations in places in Mumbai and nearby locations in the recent money laundering case are directly linked with some big-shots of underworld. Even many more influential figures of crime-world and politicians are under all-time surveillance.
