12 January is the birthday of the great soul Swami Vivekananda. He was a man of wisdom,faith and a philosopher who motivated the youth of the nation and also paved the paths of development of our country. In the year 1984, the government first decided to celebrate the birthday of legend Swami Vivekananda..since then, 12 January is commemorated as the national Youth Day.
The main aim of the Government is to make a better future for the country by motivating the youths through the way of their life and ideas of the Swami Vivekananda. It is a great way to wake up the eternal energy of the youths as well as to make the country developed.
Every year, various Ramkrishna Maths and schools celebrate the day with unending enthusiasm by offerings Aarti, prayers meditation and so on. In various schools and colleges, events like speech, poems, stories of Swami ji is recited.
This year, on 2021, the theme of National Youth Day is – ” Utsah Naye Bharat Ka”.
