Every year on November 10, World Science Day for Peace and Development is observed to focus lights on the contribution of science in society and also on the emerging scientific issues. It educates one about the development that take place time to time in the field of science. The awareness towards our home, the planet and it’s sustainability is the major concern of this day. This day motivates by providing awareness to the public on the role of science for sustainable societies, promotes national and international bonding and commitment for science between countries and also observe the issues faced by the science in rasing support for endeavours.
UNESCO strongly initiates all sections of societies to celebrate World Peace Day for Peace and Development by organising some activities or events. In this year 2020 amid COVID – 19 pandemic, the theme for the day is ” Science for and with Society in dealing with the global pandamic. “
