After Russia’s invasion of Ukraine spurred both countries to explore joining NATO, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stated on Thursday that Canada would support incorporating Sweden and Finland in the military alliance.
When asked if he supported Sweden and Finland joining NATO, Trudeau told reporters, “Conversations are being done around Sweden and Finland looking to join NATO, and Canada, of course, is very supportive of that.”
